Job Description Job Description FRONT DESK MEDICAL SCHEDULER EXPERIENCED IN ANSWERING PHONES FOR A VERY BUSY OPHTHALMOLOGY PRACTICE. A VERY DEPENDABLE WORKER TO OPEN OFFICE AT 7:45AM. GREET AND DIRECT PATIENTS TO EXAM ROOMS OR TESTING AREA. TAKE DETAILED PHONE MESSAGES FOR PHYSICIAN, OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANTS, MANAGER AND OTHER STAFF MEMBERS. . SCHEDULE APPOINTMENTS. SCANNING PATIENTS RECORDS INTO ELECTRONIC MEDICAL CHARTS. CHECK IN PATIENTS AND HAVE THEM COMPLETE PROPER PAPERWORK. CHECK OUT PATIENTS AND SCHEDULE NEXT APPOINTMENT OR SCHEDULE LASER OR CATARACT PROCEDURES. CREATE PAPER CHART CHARTS FOR CATARACT SURGERIES. CHECK INSURANCE BENEFITS FOR MEDICAL CARE, COVERAGE, AND CLAIMS. COLLECT COPAYMENTS AND BALANCES. ANSWER AND RESPOND TO EMAILS. WORK ON DENIED CLAIMS.
