Immigration Attorney Responsibilities & Duties Advising clients on immigration laws and procedures, including family-based immigration, employment-based immigration, naturalization, and removal proceedings Representing clients in immigration court and before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Preparing and filing immigration applications, including petitions for visas, permanent residency, and citizenship Conducting legal research and drafting complex legal briefs Communicating regularly with clients and updating them on their case status Staying up to date with the latest changes in immigration laws and regulations Immigration Attorney Qualifications & Skills Experience in immigration law practice. Fluency in multiple languages. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience representing clients in immigration court. Proficiency in legal research and writing. Ability to handle a high caseload efficiently. Membership in relevant legal associations. Demonstrated commitment to public service or pro bono work. Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school Admission to a state bar and eligibility to practice law Minimum of 1 years of experience practicing immigration law Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask #J-18808-Ljbffr
