Accounts Payable Coordinator

As a PAYROLL TAX SPECIALIST, you will: 

• Work with IT and third party provider to load payroll tax and garnishments files for each payroll cycle.
• Balance files and resolve any issues with exceptions.
• Research and facilitate resolution of notices received from taxing authorities.
• Prepare quarterly files and amendments as required.
• Run reports from SAP to audit employee records for appropriate tax set-up.
• Test system changes for tax rate updates and new jurisdictions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant tax laws.
• Work with unemployment tax vendor to gather data and monitor activity to ensure tax setups are accurate.
• Train payroll department and other areas as needed on tax setups and corrections.

Required Skills

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Two years of experience in multi-state, multi-FEIN payroll tax setting
• Experience working with third party payroll provider
• Experience with SAP payroll preferred
