Work Environment

This role is based in our outpatient office in Goldenrod, Florida, characterized by a friendly and cooperative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, incorporating diagnostic tests to evaluate muscle and joint function.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on pain relief, mobility enhancement, and the restoration of functional capabilities.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants to ensure they correctly follow the treatment protocols designed for each patient.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, providing instruction and motivation to support their rehabilitation journey.
• Assess the physical environment of patients, recommending modifications to promote independence and safety during recovery.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, traction, and applications of physical agents, to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team, including physicians and case managers, to refine care plans accordingly.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation of evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure continuity of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment approaches and collaboratively address patient needs.
• Educate patients and their families about the rehabilitation process, including the use of physical therapy equipment and best practices for recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient facility serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain conditions. Each patient receives tailored care designed to support their unique recovery goals and enhance their functional independence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapist licensure in the state of Florida, with a history free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong foundation in evidence-based physical therapy techniques, demonstrating the ability to implement successful rehabilitation programs.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, for accurate patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting, demonstrating the ability to develop and adapt treatment plans effectively.
• Mastery of manual therapy techniques and modalities for pain management and rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with community resources beneficial for patient recovery and accessibility.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits
