Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients virtually. However, you will maintain close connections with our outpatient office located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, collaborating with a dedicated team of mental health professionals. Our virtual environment is equipped with the latest technology, ensuring seamless communication and support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and initial evaluations to collect information and understand clients’ unique needs.
\n
• Developing individualized treatment plans that address specific behavioral, emotional, and psychological challenges faced by clients.
\n
• Facilitating individual therapy sessions and therapeutic group meetings, using evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s circumstances.
\n
• Consistently monitoring and documenting clients' progress throughout their treatment plans, making adjustments as necessary to enhance outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
\n
• Managing referrals and enhancing clients’ access to additional resources or services when necessary, ensuring they receive complete support.
\n
• Providing guidance and support to family members and caregivers to help them understand and manage the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.
\n
• Identifying potential barriers to recovery and implementing strategies to mitigate these challenges for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. Our clients come from various backgrounds and experiences, and your role will involve tailoring interventions to meet their specific needs, ensuring that each person feels heard and supported during their journey toward healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC/MHSP, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Tennessee is required.
\n
• A successful score on the NCE and/or NCMHCE is necessary for consideration.
\n
• Strong proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure accurate documentation and client management.
\n
• A thorough understanding of the principles of mental health, including familiarity with underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and empathetically.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable meaningful connections with clients and colleagues alike.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor is preferred, showcasing a track record of effective therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices will be beneficial.
\n
• Experience in working within diverse communities and understanding culturally responsive practices is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, a sign-on bonus may be available to attract qualified candidates.
