Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 09/14/2026 for 17 weeks. Shifts are 12-hour rotating (3x12s). Weekly pay ranges from $2,150 to $2,247. Guaranteed hours are not guaranteed for this assignment. Work setting is a high-volume adult ED in a Level I trauma center, handling more than 100,000 visits per year and often managing boarder transfers. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,150–$2,247 per week Contract duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (3x12s; D/E/N) Start date: 09/14/2026 Setting: high-volume adult ED in a Level I trauma center Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced ED, including initial assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring Administer medications, IV therapies, pain control, and telemetry oversight; perform EKGs as indicated Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team; assist with boarder patients and transfer coordination Document care accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety, infection control, and effective handoffs Respond to trauma activations and rapid interventions; participate in code/critical events as assigned Adapt to rotating schedules and unit coverage, including weekends and holidays Requirements NY RN license (active) Two (2) years of ED experience Telemetry experience required Prior travel ER experience required BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS certifications Not open to first-time travel ER nurses Benefits and Support Travel and assignment support from a dedicated recruiter 24/7 clinical and operational support during the assignment Credentialing and onboarding assistance Ongoing administrative and scheduling support to help ensure a smooth assignment About Healthforce Healthforce is a nationwide travel healthcare staffing agency connecting travel nurses and allied health professionals with high-quality contract assignments across the United States.
