Real Estate - Mortgage Finance Paralegal

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Real Estate – Mortgage Finance Paralegal with relevant experience. The ideal candidate should be professional, well-spoken and written, highly responsive, customer-friendly, and able to manage multiple mortgage finance files from loan inception through closing and post-closing with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

\n
• Coordinate with major lenders and all parties to schedule real estate and mortgage closings.
\n
• Prepare final Closing Disclosures (CDs) and closing packages.
\n
• Prepare and review CEMA documents and Exhibit A – Schedule of Mortgages.
\n
• Review title reports and lien searches and assist with clearing outstanding title issues.
\n
• Review underlying documents and assignments related to CEMA closings.
\n
• Prepare and file Co-op UCC-1s, UCC-3s, and Aztech agreements .
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Experience as a Real Estate / Mortgage Finance Paralegal or in a closely related role.
\n
• Bachelor's degree preferred/required.
\n
• Strong knowledge of real estate and mortgage closing processes.
\n
• Experience with CEMA transactions, title review, co-op transactions, and post-closing matters is highly desirable.
\n
• Willingness and ability to travel to closings within the NYC metropolitan area.
\n
• New York State Notary Public License or willingness to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Pro.
\n
