Pro Movement Physical Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. At Pro Movement Physical Therapy Services, we are committed to delivering exceptional orthopedic outpatient care within our modern and fully-equipped 5,000 square foot rehabilitation center. Our facility is designed to provide our patients with state-of-the-art sports medicine treatment that aligns with best practices in the field. We operate in a supportive environment alongside two other experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all dedicated to collaborative and effective patient care.

Work Environment

Located in Virginia Beach, our rehabilitation center is designed to foster a positive and motivational atmosphere for both staff and patients. As a full-time member of our team, you will work onsite within our advanced facility, providing direct support and interventions to our diverse patient population. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while maximizing your professional contributions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, identifying the individual goals and needs of each patient effectively.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring quality interactions and personalized care.
• Develop and implement tailored care plans using various therapeutic approaches to optimize patient recovery.
• Utilize strong manual therapy skills to provide hands-on treatment that addresses specific functional impairments.
• Create customized fitness and wellness plans that align with patients' specific rehabilitation needs.
• Facilitate cost-effective treatment options aimed at enhancing clients' mobility and functionality.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment protocols when needed, and maintain open communication with clients to encourage their active participation.
• Document services provided meticulously, in accordance with the facility's policies and any relevant regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for all individuals.
• Educate and motivate patients on lifestyle changes that facilitate improvement in strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Evaluate and assess treatment outcomes regularly to refine approaches and ensure optimal recovery paths.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals with private medical insurance who seek orthopedic outpatient services. Patients typically present with a range of conditions, from post-surgical recovery to chronic mobility issues, requiring tailored interventions that enhance their capacity for physical activity and day-to-day functionality.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• No history of disciplinary actions against your professional license.
• Proven expertise and strong manual therapy skills.
• Ability to develop effective and individualized exercise routines based on patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, including familiarity with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least three years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating a solid understanding of rehabilitation protocols and patient engagement strategies. Experience working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 90,000 and 100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
