Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, a modern facility designed to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. You will work a schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their specific goals, such as improving mobility, strength, and overall physical health.
• Implement targeted physical therapy interventions utilizing various techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education.
• Monitor patient progress closely and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal rehabilitation outcomes, providing supportive feedback and motivation along the way.
• Utilize EMR software, particularly WebPT, to maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and physicians, to provide comprehensive care and coordinate treatment strategies.
• Ensure a safe treatment environment by adhering to health protocols and maintaining a well-organized workspace.
• Contribute to developing wellness programs that promote physical activity and educate patients on healthy lifestyle choices.
• Participate in continual professional development activities, including workshops, seminars, and in-house training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will predominantly involve working with a diverse patient population embarking on rehabilitation journeys following orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. By fostering a supportive and encouraging environment, you will motivate individuals to achieve their rehabilitation goals and enhance their functional abilities, impacting their daily lives positively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a relevant field (a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred).
• Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Virginia, with a clean record free from sanctions or board actions.
• Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy, with a strong understanding of manual therapy techniques.
• Ability to design and implement effective exercise programs customized to individual patient needs.
• Proficiency in using EMR software for accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Commitment to staying current with research-supported physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in outpatient physical therapy settings is preferred. Experience in sports medicine or working with rehabilitation following orthopedic conditions will be a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

Empire Physical Therapist offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
