Work Environment

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist, you will work onsite within our dynamic rehabilitation facility located in the vibrant city of Virginia Beach. You'll collaborate closely with a dedicated team consisting of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to providing personalized and evidence-based care to our patients. Our facility is designed to foster teamwork and innovation, allowing for seamless communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient needs and outline personalized goals for treatment.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, delivering tailored therapeutic interventions based on individual assessments.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, ensuring each plan aligns with patient-specific goals.
• Employ manual therapy skills to enhance patient recovery and improve function, promoting wellness and preventing further injury.
• Foster patient engagement and motivation, empowering individuals to actively participate in their rehabilitation journey.
• Analyze treatment outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary, keeping detailed records of patient progress and services rendered.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care, including communicating treatment strategies and progress.
• Encourage patients to incorporate wellness regimens that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Advocate for non-surgical treatment options when appropriate, aiming to reduce reliance on prescription medications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic includes athletes of all levels, active individuals, and those recovering from orthopedic conditions. You will provide care that not only addresses their immediate rehabilitation needs but also fosters long-term physical wellness through tailored fitness programs and preventive care strategies.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current state Physical Therapist License with no disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and strong patient assessment skills.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to document patient treatments and outcomes efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient care is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with a wide range of therapeutic techniques, modalities, and evidence-based practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare team setting, enhancing overall patient care delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
