Position Overview

Heartfelt Life Insights Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Physical Therapist to join our exceptional team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Work Environment

This role is set within a vibrant rehabilitation facility located in Virginia Beach, a city known for its supportive health community and beautiful coastal living. As part of a passionate team, you will work Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend shifts to accommodate our diverse patient schedule. This arrangement fosters a dynamic work atmosphere, where you will engage with a variety of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations, establishing individualized treatment plans that align with physician recommendations.

• Set measurable goals and apply a range of therapeutic interventions to restore function and improve the patient's quality of life.

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation regarding all aspects of patient care, including evaluations, treatment processes, and discharge summaries, using clinical terminology.

• Supervise and direct the activities of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support personnel to ensure adherence to patient care standards.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to continuously assess and modify treatment interventions based on patient responses and progress.

• Engage in professional development by participating in training programs and providing feedback to improve departmental operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily work with patients recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic illnesses affecting their mobility and physical function. Our patient population is diverse, spanning various age groups and backgrounds, allowing for a rich and rewarding experience in helping individuals regain their independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.

• Must be a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and collaboration with team members.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, particularly in a rehabilitation or clinical environment. Experience implementing evidence-based practices and working collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
