The Physio Recovery Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped for sports medicine, with advanced technology and a welcoming atmosphere that fosters healing. We serve primarily private medical insurance carriers, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible treatment and support tailored to their specific needs.

Work Environment

This role requires working onsite, where you will join a team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our collaborative approach means you will benefit from teamwork and shared knowledge, creating an enriching environment for both staff and patients. Our facility is designed to facilitate optimal patient care with dedicated space for treatments, exercise programs, and education. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their goals and physical needs.
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that utilize various evidence-based techniques.
• Provide hands-on therapy, using manual therapy skills to enhance patient recovery and mobility.
• Maintain a patient caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring attentive and personalized care.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including WebPT.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting care plans as necessary based on patient feedback and progress.
• Educate patients on exercise programs and preventive strategies to promote long-term wellness.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and enhance patient outcomes.
• Encourage and motivate patients through their treatment journeys to help them regain their independence.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with orthopedic patients of varying ages and backgrounds, each with specific treatment needs ranging from post-operative recovery to rehabilitation for chronic pain. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing mobility issues, pain management, and rehabilitation strategies, ensuring that patients can return to their everyday activities with confidence and strength.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapist license in Virginia (or eligibility to obtain one).
• No disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in therapeutic exercise techniques.
• Knowledgeable in EMR software, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and teams.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with the latest physical therapy approaches and treatment technologies.
• History of developing innovative patient care strategies and programs.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
