Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Macon, Georgia. This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote telehealth setting, allowing professionals to deliver vital mental health services to children and adolescents from the comfort of their own homes. Work Environment\n

This role is remote and utilizes telehealth technologies, allowing for flexible scheduling options while still ensuring high-quality care delivery. Your standard working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. The remote nature of this position means you will conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and consultations via secure digital platforms, working collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals dedicated to the mental health of children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand and evaluate the individual needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that account for each patient's developmental stage, family dynamics, and specific mental health concerns.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family therapy, to effectively address a wide range of mental health issues.

• Provide family therapy sessions to guide parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing environment.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure a seamless, integrated approach to care.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, providing immediate support to children and their families.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health topics, treatment options, and community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with all legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance both personal and organizational growth.

• Stay updated on current research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health to ensure the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Your approach should be developmentally appropriate and family-centered, taking into account the unique challenges faced by each young individual and their support systems.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.

• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders relevant to children and adolescents and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Proven experience delivering individual and family therapy to young individuals.
\n
• Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills that foster a child-centered therapeutic environment.
\n
• Ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative spirit and eagerness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience is required, candidates with additional experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, trauma-informed care, or evidence-based treatment approaches are particularly encouraged to apply. Familiarity with telehealth platforms will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive pay, you will receive a sign-on bonus upon successful hiring. Our benefits package includes:
