In this role, you'll help shape programs, support high-level decision-making, and ensure projects and contracts are executed smoothly and efficiently.
Under the general direction of the Workforce Development Division (WDD) Operations Supervisor II, the Analyst II provides overall WDD operational support to include, but not limited to administration, logistical support, coordination, program scheduling, customer service, program analysis, fiscal and business operations support, as well as program communication.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for a telework opportunity in accordance with departmental policies and operational needs. Employees are currently required to work in-person at least four (4) days per week in alignment with Executive Order N-22-25. Additional in-office days may be required based on operational needs.
Personal Leave Program: Effective July 1, 2025, state employees are subject to temporary salary reductions ranging from 2% to 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program (PLP) hours. Please note that the salary ranges listed in this Job Control may not reflect these reductions associated with the 2025 Personal Leave Program. Please follow the link for more information regarding the 2025 Personal Leave program: Merit Salary Adjustment (MSA): Approximately every twelve (12) months depending on the position and based on performance, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary of the position.
Special Requirements

- Contracting / Procurement Experience: Tell us about a time you supported a purchasing, contracting, or vendor-related process. What was your role, and how did you help ensure the work was completed correctly and on time?
- Budget / Fiscal Reconciling Experience: Describe an example where you reviewed spending against a planned budget and identified or corrected an issue such as an inaccurate invoice or a mismatch in recorded amounts.
- Data Integrity & Actionable Insights: Share a project where you found an error or inconsistency in a dataset and took steps to correct it. How did you communicate your findings, and what actions resulted from your work?
- Process Improvement / Policy or SOP Development: Tell us about a time you improved a workflow, guideline, or procedure. What problem did you identify, what changes did you make, and what was the impact?

- Communication: Communicate effectively, demonstrating open-mindedness, flexibility, discretion, and tact, both written and orally, in order to exchange information and/or provide direction
- Information Documentation and Management: Prepare and manage documentation in accordance with standard practices. Properly manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with associated guidelines and requirements
- Planning and Analysis: Create effective and efficient plans, organizing and prioritizing workloads. Reason logically and creatively by utilizing a variety of analytical and research techniques to successfully complete work assignments, prepare data finding reports, and resolve program-related problems/issues/concerns. Selectively identify relevant data associated with requests and prepare subsequent analysis and recommendations
- Contracting: Have knowledge of applicable provisions of contract law and regulations. Interpret and apply departmental policy, State Contracting Manual, Public Contract Codes and rules and regulations as they relate to the preparation of contracts, interagency agreements, and invitations for bid and requests for proposals. Review contract requests for appropriateness
- Resilience: Exercise initiative, independence of action, and originality; identify, analyze, and weigh constructive alternatives and solutions; easily adapt to changing priorities; resourcefully balance multiple responsibilities, priorities, and projects
- Collaboration: Work cooperatively and productively as part of a team and with departmental employees, all levels of management, other state agencies, the Governor’s Office, and the public; consult with and advise administrators and other employees on program matters. Negotiate to obtain quality and cost-effective program resources
- Computer Proficiency: Skillfully operate a personal computer in order to perform daily duties; be proficient in Microsoft products such as Word, Outlook, Excel and TEAMS; have the ability to learn to use other specialized software as needed
