Senior Accountant Temporary Contract 9 Months Pine Brook, NJ $50–$62 per Hour Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 9-month contract opportunity with a manufacturing business in Pine Brook, NJ. This role offers the opportunity to support a $50M manufacturing operation, with responsibilities spanning financial reporting, project accounting, revenue recognition, and cost accounting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, manufacturing experience, and a drive to improve accounting processes. Responsibilities Lead month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Support percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting and revenue recognition under US GAAP and IFRS. Analyze general ledger activity and perform balance sheet reconciliations. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to review project costs, inventory, and gross margin performance. Assist with audits, internal controls, and financial compliance. Identify process improvements and support ERP system enhancements. Provide support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and financial reporting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or manufacturing. Experience with manufacturing cost accounting and percentage-of-completion accounting. Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Power BI, SQL, or M3 ERP. Knowledge of IFRS 15, ASC 606, and IFRS 16. Experience with financial system implementations or process improvement initiatives . CPA preferred.
