The scope of responsibilities and duties include calendar management, calls, administrative support, event planning, working closely with the planning team, nurturing relationships with key community partners, conducting research on community opportunities and AmeriCorps Program best practices, and assisting with drafting an implementation plan for an AmeriCorps Program. Description Responsibilities: Assists with arranging meetings, events and planning sessions. Provides administrative support to the Planning Team according to tasks listed in the overview above. Presents all required reports and documents according to the chain of command. Collaborates with the Planning Team and other agencies to ensure that planning activities meet all required standards, compliance, and reporting. Shall attend all required meetings, trainings and functions as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Demonstrate the ability to work effectively with all people in culturally diverse environments. Demonstrate the ability to manage time well and work under stressful conditions with an even temperament. Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with other employees and the public. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively to resolve conflicts. Demonstrate the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Requirements: Must possess at least 1 year of administrative support experience. Must read and write proficiently in English. Must possess proficient computer processing skills. Must possess accurate record keeping abilities. Must adhere to confidentiality and all other policies. Must be a U.S. Citizen or be a lawful permanent resident. Staff has ongoing access to a vulnerable populations and confidential information. Employment is contingent on the results of a National Service Criminal History Check. Upon offer, applicants must submit to a criminal background check that includes FBI fingerprinting and national record check, National Sex Offender Registry, and state criminal background checks.
