Description

• Assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies that encompass both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that prioritize communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing enhancement.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to create unified care approaches.
• Provide essential education to patients and their families to foster continued progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care across the treatment journey.
• Create and maintain precise documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Stay informed about developments in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not previously ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of hire.
