Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric to geriatric populations using diverse assessment tools and observational insights.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that encompass immediate and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver focused, individualized speech therapy sessions specializing in communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers, to ensure cohesive treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to foster progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Occasionally engage in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout each patient's healing journey.
• Maintain precise and prompt documentation in line with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Remain abreast of the latest developments in the field via ongoing education and peer collaborations.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within 30 days of employment.
