Overview Texas Oncology is looking for a Pharmacy Manager to join our team. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm position with no weekends or major holidays. The LTIP typically vests over a three‑year period and is tied to both individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. What does the Pharmacy Manager do? Oversees pharmacy operations, ensures pharmacy requirements are met, manages budgeting, establishes policies and procedures, consults with physicians, provides clinical analysis, conducts pharmacoeconomic research, supports compliance, and leads the pharmacy team. Responsibilities Research and analyze medical and scientific evidence to develop disease management guidelines and pharmacoeconomic comparisons. Develop pharmacoeconomic models for case rating, capitation forecasts, and cost of goods sold reductions. Implement drug management and process improvement programs. Oversee pharmacy services in accordance with legal and regulatory standards. Develop departmental goals and policies; manage budget and financial reports. Establish charging and billing procedures; oversee dispensing and drug control. Develop purchasing systems, resolve coordination problems, and analyze operating reports. Take corrective action and manage training and orientation of personnel. Initiate staff development and ensure proper training of admixture technicians and pharmacists. Manage inventory, pricing, drug outages, recalls, and ensure proper inventory levels. Evaluate performance, recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions; ensure compliance with accreditation and quality standards. Act as education resource and consult with medical staff; participate in teaching and in‑service programs. Collect data, prepare reports, and respond to correspondence for administrative and regulatory purposes. Maintain confidentiality of patient and staff information. Perform all functions required of a pharmacist and technicians as required. Manage pharmacy staff including registered pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of pharmacy. Minimum five years’ experience as a registered pharmacist, with at least two years of supervisory and management experience. Five years’ experience in a pharmacy with IV skills. Oncology background preferred. Prior experience in pharmacy management. Must possess a current Texas Pharmacist license. Physical Demands Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, eye‑hand coordination, sitting/standing for extended periods, occasional lifting up to 40 lbs., and corrected vision and hearing.
