About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Operations to join its Executive Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be a key driver of operational excellence, responsible for establishing and executing the strategic direction of operations across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role demands a leader with a strong background in manufacturing, quality, safety, health, and environmental functions, who can lead performance across critical operational measures and foster a high-performance culture. The Vice President of Operations will also be tasked with building organizational capability, driving continuous improvement through methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Applicants for the Vice President of Operations position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial management, operations, or a related field, with at least 15 years of progressive industry-related leadership experience. A proven track record in leading manufacturing operations, building high-performing teams, and delivering measurable business results is essential. The role requires a leader with strong financial and business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and operational excellence. An MBA or advanced degree, experience in a unionized manufacturing environment, and a background in metals, industrial manufacturing, or process manufacturing are preferred. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, decision-making, and influencing leaders and teams at all levels of the organization.
