Job Description As a County Government Facility Security Officer in Greenville, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $17.00 / Hour Job Schedule DayTime: Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Tue 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security‑related concerns according to site guidelines. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or permissions as directed, and report access‑related issues or policy violations to the appropriate personnel. Support daily operations by communicating with site contacts, following post orders, and assisting with security‑related procedures during routine activities and unexpected events. Minimum Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located. Be at least 21 years of age. A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
