Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant Location: Beverly Hills, CA 90212 (Onsite- Must be local) Salary: $75,000–$90,000 depending on experience Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k) About the Role We are seeking a Jr Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team supporting a growing real estate investment company. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with approximately 1–5 years of accounting experience who is eager to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities. The ideal candidate is positive, motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to build their career in real estate accounting. Key Responsibilities Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations. Support monthly and quarterly financial close. Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations. Assist with AP/AR and expense processing. Support accounting for real estate investment entities. Assist with acquisitions, dispositions, and equity transactions. Support cash management, distributions, and bank activity. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation. Assist with investor, lender, audit, and tax requests. Prepare and maintain Excel trackers and financial reports. Assist with accounting projects and process improvements. Learn and use new technology, AI, and automation tools. Required Qualifications 1-5 years of accounting experience; open to slightly less or more for the right candidate. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience working in Real Estate or a related corporate accounting environment, such as private equity or other investment firms. Knowledge of GAAP and the full accounting cycle. Must have general accounting experience and not just AP clerk Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close. Experience with an accounting/ERP system. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent attention to detail and organization. Strong communication skills. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Motivated to grow and take on additional responsibilities. Bonus Qualifications Real estate or property accounting experience. Experience with private equity, investment firms, or other real estate-related companies. Sage Intacct experience. Experience with multi-entity accounting. Exposure to acquisitions/dispositions, investor accounting, or distributions. Experience with Juniper Square or similar platforms.
