Junior Accountant

This position supports the Company’s commitment to excellence through GL and bank reconciliation, ensuring accuracy, compliance and swift resolution of any errors identified DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS (each duty and function listed indicates % of time): Reconcile assigned cash GL accounts on a monthly basis 40% Resolve and verify all kinds of bank and book error including review of outstanding payments 15%. Communicate with various departments such as AP, AR, Finance, Temp Payroll, Staff Payroll and Tax. 15% Reorder copies of cleared checks as requested. Assist on audit preparations. 5% Sort and file bank reconciliation summary, statements, statements, reports and other supporting documents 20% MARGINAL FUNCTIONS (each function listed indicates % of time): Journalize monthly cash adjustments, download files, paycard inventory functions 5% Other job-related duties as assigned TBD% REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Accounting with minimum of 3 years related experience preferred (however, 5 years of direct bank reconciliation experience is considered in lieu of a 4 year degree). SUPERVISION EXERCISED/ #OF STAFF: N/A LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS (written & verbal): Active listener. Detailed e-mails and excellent follow up. COMPUTER/SYSTEM SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Advance level MS Excel still and beginner MS Access skill. Ten key by touch. SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Ability to multi-task, independent (minimal supervision required) and a team player. (to perform Paycard Inventory functions).
