Electrical Engineer

Description: 

ENG- Development, integration, and verification of high-fidelity hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and closed-loop test facilities and capabilities within System Integration Laboratories (SILS). Coordinate hardware integration, facility infrastructure, laboratory logistics, technical documentation, and test support while contributing to continuous improvement of laboratory productivity and capability.

#Education & Job Requirements

*4+ years of experience with Zuken
*Experience contributing to the design, development, integration, and verification of test facilities supporting HWIL and closed-loop testing
*Experience with test bed design
*Hands-on experience with hardware integration for test laboratories
*Experience with logistics for ordering, receiving, and tracking equipment in support of test laboratory setup
*Background in infrastructure planning for test laboratories
*Proficiency with real-time simulation tools, such as MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, or NI VeriStand
*Strong understanding of hardware integration, signal conditioning, power distribution, and data acquisition systems
*Ability to create detailed schematics and system block diagrams using Microsoft Visio, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, and Siemens NX/3DX
*Familiarity with aerospace standards and specifications, including ARINC-429, MIL-STD-1553, DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and ARP 4754
*Experience managing parts logistics, including ordering, receiving, inventory control, and vendor coordination
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

#Job Duties & Functions

*Assist the FCA&E Lab Lead in designing, building, integrating, and testing HWIL and closed-loop configurations within the SILS.
*Receive, stage, and integrate hardware from subsystem teams.
*Manage interface control documents and coordinate cross-functional wiring, power, and data connections across system, segment, and supporting engineering groups.
*Participate in technical interchange meetings and provide clear status updates.
*Contribute to preparation of deliverables for internal and external customers.
*Track laboratory-level risks and issues and maintain issue logs.
*Elevate concerns to the FCA&E Lab Lead or program management while proposing mitigation actions.
*Capture key performance indicators (KPIs) for SILS activities.
*Generate concise status reports and assist with metrics dashboards reflecting progress, resource utilization, and test outcomes.
*Support procurement of capital equipment and facility modification projects.
*Assist with laboratory infrastructure planning, including power distribution, network cabling, shielding, and cooling.
*Order, receive, and track parts and consumables required for laboratory activities.
*Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with vendors and internal supply chains to ensure timely component availability.
*Identify opportunities to streamline laboratory processes and update work instructions.
*Adopt new tools or methodologies that enhance test efficiency and data quality.
*Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, block diagrams, procedures, results, and lessons learned packages, in accordance with configuration control requirements.
*Develop detailed schematics and system block diagrams using Microsoft Visio, Mentor Graphics, Zuken, and Siemens NX/3DX.
