About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for External Manufacturing and Supplier Assurance. This executive will be tasked with the pivotal role of defining and leading the global external manufacturing strategy, including make/buy/where decisions and commercial governance. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that contract manufacturers and critical suppliers meet the operational, capacity, and quality standards necessary to fulfill the company's orders and growth objectives. This includes the development and execution of a risk-based supplier surveillance program, as well as the establishment of long-term partnerships with strategic manufacturing partners. The role demands a leader with a strong background in manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement, and a proven track record in managing complex commercial relationships on a global scale. Applicants for the Vice President position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an MBA or advanced technical degree preferred, and at least 15 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or procurement. The role requires a candidate with a deep understanding of global manufacturing operations, supplier performance management, and supply chain risk mitigation. Experience in industries such as semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or other high-tech environments is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be a decisive leader, commercially astute, and a talent developer, with a strong focus on customer commitments and a proven ability to drive operational transformation. The first 12-18 months will be critical for the successful candidate to establish the external manufacturing and supplier assurance operating model, segment the manufacturing network, and implement a robust supplier surveillance and assurance process.
