About the Role
Genesis Technical & Industrial Staffing is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our growing team. This position will focus on recruiting for engineering, design, project management, and other technical and professional roles across industries such as power generation, chemical, manufacturing, marine, pulp and paper, industrial, and EPC environments .
The ideal candidate will have strong recruiting experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build relationships with both candidates and internal team members. This role requires someone who is organized, resourceful, competitive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced staffing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, and qualify candidates for technical, professional, engineering, design, project management, and industrial-related positions.
- Recruit for roles across multiple industries, including power, chemical, manufacturing, marine, pulp and paper, industrial, and EPC sectors.
- Use multiple recruiting platforms and resources, including Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, job boards, resume databases, referrals, networking, and other sourcing tools .
- Maintain accurate candidate records, activity notes, status updates, and documentation in an ATS system such as Bullhorn, TempWorks, or similar recruiting software .
- Conduct phone interviews to evaluate candidate experience, qualifications, availability, compensation expectations, and overall fit.
- Present qualified candidates to Account Managers and/or clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Build and maintain strong candidate relationships to support both current and future hiring needs.
- Follow up consistently with candidates throughout the recruiting, interview, offer, and onboarding process.
- Partner with the recruiting and sales teams to understand job requirements, client expectations, urgency, and market conditions.
- Assist with job postings, candidate pipeline development, database searches, and recruiting campaigns.
- Meet recruiting activity goals, including calls, submissions, interviews, placements, and candidate follow-up expectations.
- Stay informed on industry trends, market pay rates, candidate availability, and recruiting best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of recruiting experience
- Experience recruiting for engineers, designers, document controls, project management, and other professional roles
- Experience using an ATS system such as Bullhorn, TempWorks, or a similar platform .
- Strong experience using recruiting tools such as Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, resume databases, job boards, and other sourcing platforms .
- Strong phone presence and ability to confidently communicate with candidates.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple job openings and priorities at one time.
- Strong documentation habits and ability to keep candidate records updated.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous staffing agency experience.
- Experience recruiting for industries such as power, chemical, marine, manufacturing, pulp and paper, EPC, industrial, or engineering services.
- Knowledge of technical job titles, engineering disciplines, design roles, and project-based hiring.
- Experience with Boolean searching, candidate pipelines, mass email/text campaigns, and proactive sourcing strategies.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with passive candidates.

This person should be comfortable working with technical job requirements, asking strong qualifying questions, and documenting activity clearly within the ATS.
