LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnered with a construction and engineering company in Lenexa, KS who is seeking a driven and resourceful Talent Sourcing Specialist to support recruitment efforts. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and building pipelines of top talent for a variety of positions, including skilled trades, project management, engineering, and corporate support functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive recruiter who enjoys networking, researching talent markets, and creating strong candidate experiences. You will partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to develop sourcing strategies that attract high-quality candidates in a competitive hiring environment.

This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and building pipelines of top talent for a variety of positions, including skilled trades, project management, engineering, and corporate support functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive recruiter who enjoys networking, researching talent markets, and creating strong candidate experiences. You will partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to develop sourcing strategies that attract high-quality candidates in a competitive hiring environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, ATS databases, professional networks, referrals, and other creative sourcing channels.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
- Identify passive candidates and develop engagement strategies to generate interest in career opportunities.
- Conduct market mapping and talent research for hard-to-fill positions.
- Conduct initial outreach and screening conversations with prospective candidates.
- Assess candidate qualifications, experience, and interest levels.
- Maintain ongoing communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Promote positive and professional candidate experience.
- Collaborate with recruiters and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and role requirements.
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for technical, engineering, construction, and operational positions.
- Provide candidate market insights, talent trends, and competitor intelligence.
- Support recruiting teams in achieving hiring goals and project timelines.
- Maintain accurate candidate records within the applicant tracking system.
- Track sourcing activity and recruiting metrics.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, recruiting best practices, and organizational policies.
- Assist with job posting distribution and employer branding initiatives.
- 2+ years of recruiting, talent sourcing, staffing, or talent acquisition experience.
- Experience sourcing candidates for construction, engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or technical positions preferred.
- Strong proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and applicant tracking systems.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and networking skills.
- Ability to effectively engage passive candidates and generate interest in opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously.
- Results-driven mindset with a passion for identifying top talent.
- Experience supporting high-volume or project-based hiring initiatives.
- Familiarity with skilled trades, engineering, project management, and construction-related positions.
- Knowledge of recruitment marketing and talent pipeline development strategies.
- Experience utilizing sourcing analytics and recruiting metrics to drive hiring decisions.
