The Staff Accountant, Accounts Payable plays a vital role in managing the organization's vendor payments and financial documentation within a small accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position focuses on ensuring accurate invoice processing, payment coordination, and account reconciliation, with opportunities for growth through cross-training and career progression toward Senior Accountant roles.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and coordinate payments with vendors
• Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve payment issues
• Prepare expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies
• Perform data entry and maintain financial documentation
• Support accounts payable activities to meet deadlines

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Experience in accounts payable processes
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong skills in accounts reconciliation and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Effective communication skills
• Familiarity with Brightpearl software
