Communications Specialist

IDR is seeking a Communications Specialist to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Brentwood, TN. This role focuses on supporting organizational integration, change management, and internal communications initiatives within a dynamic corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing communication strategies for large-scale organizational changes and M&A projects, ensuring clear and effective messaging across diverse audiences. Position Overview for the Communications Specialist: Supports organizational initiatives through effective communication strategies and execution. Develops and delivers communications to help employees understand organizational changes, milestones, impacts, and required actions. Owns communication timelines, deliverables, and execution across multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Crafts clear, engaging content for various channels including emails, newsletters, intranet, talking points, and videos. Collaborates with business leaders and subject matter experts to develop messaging that aligns with business objectives. Requirements for the Communications Specialist: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 3–5 years of communications experience; strong background in internal/corporate communications. Experience with change management and M&A/integration communications is required. Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive communication plans from strategy through delivery.
