Bookkeeper

Our client, a well-established company in the real estate industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has extensive experience managing high-volume accounting transactions and payroll. Key Responsibilities Process high-volume Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, handling approximately 100 invoices per day with accuracy and efficiency. Manage full-cycle payroll processing for approximately 80 employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts. Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end closing activities. Review invoices, resolve discrepancies, and communicate with vendors and internal departments as needed. Prepare and process payments, deposits, and journal entries. Assist with reporting and other accounting projects as assigned. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices. Qualifications 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment. Proven experience processing high-volume AP/AR transactions. Experience with full-cycle payroll for approximately 80 or more employees. Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (preferred). Experience using Paychex payroll software (preferred). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
