AP Supervisor - Expense Payables

The Supervisor, Accounts Payable – Expense Payables leads the daily operations of the Expense Payables function to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of expense reports, corporate card transactions, and non-PO invoices. This role is responsible for achieving departmental KPIs, SLAs, and production goals while maintaining internal controls and audit compliance. The Supervisor oversees a team of Coordinators and Specialists and assists in managing BPO offshore support to ensure service excellence, operational efficiency, and quality standards are consistently met. Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in Accounts Payable or related finance function
• Excellent understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills and overall PC proficiency
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach
• Process improvement mindset  Conflict management and employee relations experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance or related field of study
• Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP system

Responsibilities

• Oversee timely and accurate processing of a high volume of indirect expense invoices in accordance with company policies and service level agreements.
• Ensure accurate processing of expense reports, corporate card transactions, and non-PO invoices.
• Monitor daily production metrics, KPIs, SLAs, audit findings, and error logs to ensure compliance and performance standards are met.
• Ensure all month-end close requirements are completed accurately and within AP deadlines.
• Prepare and review daily and monthly departmental reporting.
• Oversee all ServiceNow queues for the Expense Payables group to ensure timely review, resolution, and SLA compliance.
  o Research, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated (second level) inquiries from subsidiaries and internal stakeholders.
• Provide exceptional customer service to field locations and internal departments.
• Troubleshoot system-related issues and serve as liaison with IT as needed.
• Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation and analysis.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Accounts Payable Coordinators and Specialists.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review performance, KPIs, quality standards, and development opportunities.
• Manage employee performance evaluations, corrective actions, onboarding, and training initiatives.
• Provide ongoing training to enhance technical skills, process knowledge, and career growth.
• Document and maintain departmental processes and procedures.
