Growing together.As a full time, exempt Director of Pharmacy, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team.Primary Responsibilities:Provide system-wide strategic leadership for pharmacy services across multiple hospitals and care settings, ensuring alignment with organizational goalsOptimize and standardize medication use practices, including formulary management, clinical protocols, and medication safety programsLead and develop pharmacy leadership teams, including hospital pharmacy directors and managers, ensuring consistency and accountabilityEnsure enterprise-wide regulatory and accreditation compliance, overseeing readiness for audits and inspections across all sitesOversee system-level financial performance, including contracting, purchasing strategies, and cost-reduction initiativesCollaborate with executive leadership, service lines, and external partners, supporting integrated care delivery and system prioritiesDrive innovation, scalability, and growth of pharmacy services, advancing technology, analytics, and new models of care across the health systemLocation: Rehoboth McKinley Christian Health Services 1901 Redrock Drive Gallup, New Mexico 87301You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of PharmacyCurrent Licensed Pharmacist in New MexicoPreferred Qualifications:Experience using computer applications including pharmacy information systems, pharmacy software, word processing, and spreadsheetsThorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services. Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technologyKnowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeuticsDemonstrated ability to effectively participate in interdisciplinary teams and committeesProven leadership, administration, human resources, and managerial skillsProven business acumen includes profit/loss understanding, contract negotiations, and GPO functionProven problem solving and analytical thinking abilityProven effective verbal and written communication skillsPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
