About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: CRT NICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years with travel experience required. License: Active state or compact license required. Certifications: CRT, NRP, RRT (for RRT-NICU, NRP is required). Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Travel experience - Experience with charting systems Description: RRT or CRT certified NICU position. Candidates can hold either RRT or CRT certifications. No local candidates will be considered. Candidates must have travel experience. Patient care will primarily focus on neonatal patients. Skills required include: Adult critical care, aerosol setup, intubation assistance, extubation, and patient transport. Experience with bronchoscopy, CPAP, BiPAP, high-frequency ventilation, and interpretation of arterial blood gases is essential. Additional skills necessary include: suctioning, tracheostomy care, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Candidates will be expected to float within the facility as needed. This role requires someone who can attend to high-risk deliveries and provide care for neonates. Candidates must be flexible and able to manage various patient needs effectively. Successful candidates will have a strong focus on patient care and safety while adapting to dynamic hospital environments.
