Step Into a Day on Our Shop Floor

You arrive ready to turn raw stock into precision components. You stage material with a forklift, verify setup on CNC lathes and/or mills, and run production lots with minimal supervision. Throughout the shift, you watch each operation closely, keep accurate run records, and communicate with teammates and your supervisor to keep quality and safety at the forefront.

What You’ll Do

• Load and unload materials and parts by hand, forklift, or appropriate tools; move larger workpieces with an overhead crane as needed.
• Operate CNC equipment (lathes and/or mills), maintaining vigilant attention to cycle performance and part quality.
• Alert your supervisor to machine issues, crashes, or repairs required; document events and assist with resolution.
• Use grinding and related finishing tools to remove burrs and excess material for a clean final surface.
• Inspect finished parts with precision measurement tools; report any irregularities or out-of-tolerance results to supervision or quality.
• Adjust tool wear offsets or change inserts to meet tolerance and finish specifications.
• Track progress against production goals and hit targets safely and efficiently.
• Follow established work instructions, help create or improve them, and complete all required daily paperwork.
• Maintain machines and your work area through housekeeping, preventive maintenance, and daily inspections.
• Tackle additional tasks as assigned by management to support the team.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED; a machining-related certificate or technical degree is a plus.
• Math fluency for shop applications: fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting mindset, and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and overtime when needed.
• Visual acuity for close and distance work, color differentiation, depth perception, and focus.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and reach; occasional squatting/kneeling, forward bending, twisting/turning, pushing/pulling, and neck rotation/extension.
• Lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
• Previous forklift experience.
