Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced M/S Tele RN for a night shift position requiring telemetry strip interpretation skills and at least 2 years of travel nursing experience.

Details

• ,32-bed Ortho/Neuro Med/Surg unit that also admits medical overflow patients
• Unit is split into two 16-bed sections (Phippen 6 and Phippen 7)
• Patient population includes scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patases, fractures, neuro patients, and general medical overflow
• Clinician to patient ratio is 1:4 (up to 5) on day and evening shifts, and 1:5 or 1:6 on night shift
• Night shift schedule is 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
• Night shift does not rotate
• Floating to applicable units required as needed
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• EPIC EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
• AHA BLS certification required
• AHA ACLS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in one location required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a travel nurse required
• Med/Surg RN skill set with neuro assessment skills required
• Telemetry competency and ability to interpret tele strips required
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Provide Med/Surg nursing care with a focus on telemetry monitoring and neuro assessments
• Care for orthopedic, neuro, and general medical overflow patients
• Local candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of Boston and will be considered at a reduced rate
