Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT, you will be tasked with:

• Conducting thorough assessments and developing personalized treatment plans for clients.
\n
• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples, as well as conducting individual sessions with each partner, ensuring a comprehensive approach to care.

• Utilizing evidence-based methodologies and frameworks to address a range of mental health concerns.
\n
• Providing support in navigating complex issues such as grief, family conflicts, relationship challenges, and adjustment disorders stemming from separation or divorce.
\n
• Employing active listening and therapeutic techniques in sessions to foster a safe space for open communication.
\n
• Documenting client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary, maintaining accurate and timely records in compliance with clinical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Weill Cornell Psychological Center serves a diverse clientele, focusing on adults, adolescents, and couples facing a variety of challenges, including but not limited to:

• Alcohol abuse and dependency issues.
\n
• Physical and psychological trauma resulting from abuse.
\n
• Grief and loss counseling.
\n
• Family conflicts, including sibling disputes and communication difficulties.

• Issues stemming from job stress and medical concerns that impact mental health.

Qualifications\n

To excel in this role, candidates must be:

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) holding an active state license.

• In possession of a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

Preferred Experience\n

While we encourage recently licensed candidates to apply, we also welcome applicants with established experience in mental health services. Candidates should be able to demonstrate intermediate skills in telehealth practices and adaptability to various therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Weill Cornell Psychological Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Beyond a robust compensation package, we provide:
