Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using both standardized assessments and observational methodologies.
• Create individualized therapy plans aimed at achieving immediate objectives while addressing long-range communication, cognitive, or swallowing difficulties.
• Implement one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on various aspects including communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, families, and caregivers to devise unified treatment strategies.
• Provide educational resources and guidance to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond clinical settings.
• Assist in inpatient assessments and therapy interventions occasionally to ensure consistent care throughout the patient's recovery process.
• Maintain precise records in alignment with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education to keep pace with advancements in the field through collaboration with peers and professional development.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• State license as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.
• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Expert knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities appropriate for all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
