Shape the future of communication for remarkable high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working in a dynamic educational environment near Brooklyn, NY. This full-time, contract opportunity places you at the heart of a dedicated team, serving students ages 14–21 with a wide range of abilities—including those with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other genetic disorders. Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Valid state SLP licensure (or eligibility)
• Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
• Knowledge and experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
• Comfortable working with students who have moderate to severe intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Collaborative team player, eager to consult with educators and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver group and individualized speech and language therapy sessions to meet IEP goals
• Assess, develop, and implement AAC strategies for non-verbal and minimally verbal students
• Work alongside education teams to design and adapt communication supports in the classroom
• Prepare documentation for student progress, evaluations, and meetings
• Engage in regular communication with families, teachers, and related service providers

The schedule runs weekdays from 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, offering a clear structure with your evenings free.
