Requisition #: 665407 Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD 21287 Category: Nursing Support/Patient Care Schedule: Rotating Shift Employment Type: Part-time Shift 36 hours all twelve‑hour shifts, every third weekend, rotating. Unit Description The Johns Hopkins Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit is a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock, post‑infarction angina and congestive heart failure. We also care for many other critically ill patients suffering from severe cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease and life‑threatening arrhythmias. This is a cardiac medicine unit; therefore patients’ post‑CABG, valve replacements, transplant, LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery. To learn more about our benefits go to Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Active Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA) in Maryland is required; 1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience; BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted. Salary Range: Minimum $18.41/hour - Maximum $27.70/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
