We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Food Service Manager for a direct hire opportunity supporting a multi-unit food service operation. This role requires a leader who is operationally strong, highly accountable, and comfortable leading from the front in a fast-paced, resource-conscious environment. The ideal candidate will actively participate in daily kitchen operations, support staff development, and help maintain consistent standards for food quality, safety, customer service, and fiscal responsibility. Multi-unit experience is required, along with the ability to manage budgets, inventory, purchasing, compliance, and day-to-day execution across multiple facilities. Salary for this position is $80,000 to $90,000 annually.

What You Will Do?

• Direct and oversee daily food service operations across multiple facilities while maintaining service standards.

• Lead, coach, train, develop, and hold staff accountable for performance, productivity, and quality expectations.

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, and retain food service personnel to support operational coverage.

• Manage departmental budgets, expenses, food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels with fiscal discipline.

• Develop and implement nutritious, appealing, and cost-effective menus aligned with operational needs.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety requirements.

• Work directly in kitchen operations when staffing levels or business needs require additional support.

• Coordinate food service support for conferences, celebrations, special programs, and large-scale functions.

Your Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of food service management experience in a high-volume environment.

• Multi-unit experience is required, with demonstrated oversight of multiple kitchen locations or facilities.

• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills in a hands-on operational setting.

• Experience managing budgets, purchasing, inventory, food costs, and operational expenses.

• Working knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
