Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide high-quality care to residents at a rehabilitation and extended care facility. The role involves assisting residents with activities of daily living, maintaining a clean environment, and collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals. The CNA will demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to infection control protocols. Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to meet residents' needs.
• Maintain accurate records of residents' health status and care provided.
• Ensure a clean and healthy environment by following infection control and sanitation standards.
• Recognize and report signs and symptoms of illness or distress in residents promptly.
• Report any instances of abuse, mistreatment, or neglect according to facility policies.
• Provide compassionate care to dying residents, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Communicate effectively with registered nurses regarding resident conditions and concerns.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

• New York Certified Nursing Assistant license (Required).
• BLS Certification (Required).
• Minimum of 2 years of CNA experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including empathy, patience, and compassion.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Commitment to resident confidentiality and ethical standards.

• BLS Certification (Preferred if not required).
• Experience working in rehabilitation or extended care settings.

• Must be able to lift and move residents with assistance.
• Ability to work long shifts requiring stamina and physical endurance.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as per unit needs.
• Adherence to infection control protocols and facility policies.

• Day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and holidays based on unit requirements.
