**Payroll Specialist** Location: Phoenix, AZ 85016 Setting: 100% On Site Hours: Full Time Pay: $30 - $36/hour (OT available) Join a welcoming, collaborative payroll team supporting a large, multi-company organization with 10,000+ employees. This role is ideal for a payroll professional who is detail-oriented, reliable, and enjoys problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities* Process full-cycle weekly payroll for assigned employee groups (500-1,000+ employees)* Ensure accurate and timely payroll, including off-cycle payments* Review timekeeping data, resolve discrepancies, and support payroll audits/reconciliations* Process new hires, employee changes, special pay requests, garnishments, and final pay* Partner closely with HR and managers to ensure data accuracy and compliance* Research and resolve payroll questions while delivering excellent customer service* Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll regulations, overtime laws, and company policies Qualifications* 3-5 years of full-cycle payroll experience* Experience processing multi-state payroll required* Strong understanding of payroll regulations, including OT laws* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)* Experience with ADP Workforce Now or Paycom strongly preferred* Union payroll/reporting experience is a plus* Demonstrated critical thinking, attention to detail, and process improvement mindset* Ability to communicate successes and examples of improving payroll processes Why Join?* Team sits alongside HR, creating strong cross-functional collaboration* Stable, high-volume payroll environment with opportunities to make an impactEducation* High school diploma or equivalent required* CPP or FPC certification preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr The Intersect Group
