Join Elica's mission and become a part of a team where every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact in your community!
At Elica Health Centers, we share a common goal: provide the best possible patient care to our growing community! Our passion extends throughout Elica, from the exceptional healthcare services we provide to our underserved patients at our Community Health Clinics and state-of-the-art mobile medicine program: Health on Wheels, to our Resource Center where we empower patients and members of the community to connect with resources to help them build healthy and full lives.
What You Will Do:
The successful candidate will be willing and able to:
- Be highly knowledgeable in Pediatrics by maintaining high level of clinical expertise, utilizing the most current sources and guidelines, and being familiar with changing standards of practice.
- Regularly monitor and oversee the performance of Elica's clinicians practicing Pediatrics with respect to established performance indicators, including peer review. Assist Chief Medical Officer in annual performance appraisals of clinicians within Pediatrics.
- Develop strategies to improve the performance of clinicians or sites lagging in any performance indicators.
- Help in reviewing, modifying, and developing Elica's Policies and Procedures and clinic workflows as relevant to Pediatrics.
- Develop optimal templates, accelerators, and other workflows in Pediatrics for the Electronic Health Record.
- Monitor resource and referral utilization within Pediatrics and assist in identifying additional resources to improve provider and patient access to specialty care. Help to create standards and standard procedures for the most common referrals.

Clinical Services

Address urgent, chronic, and preventive medical needs on an ongoing basis.
- Obtain appropriate consults when problems presented are outside the scope of practice or when unfamiliar with a particular aspect of the client's care.
- Facilitate transfer of care to other clinicians when religious or personal beliefs interfere with the clinician's ability to offer full care options.
- Provide health education to Center clients and their families and answer questions, and work closely with other clinic staff to recruit and retain the appropriate care managers that provide these services; expand and grow the overall provision of appropriate education and information, including follow-up, for patients.
- Provide patient-centered, compassionate, culturally sensitive care that addresses the full scope of patients' health needs.
- Maintain overall efficiency of care delivery standards at or above the practice goal in order to sustain fiscal viability while maintaining high quality medical care as well as to demonstrate for the rest of the medical staff that the practice goal is reasonable and attainable with the support provided by the non-medical staff.
- Answer messages and sign off on clinical reports (consults, lab, x-rays, etc.) in a timely manner.
- Complete medical records in a timely manner on a daily basis with an appropriate level of documentation to support clinical care, coding and billing, compliance, and risk management.
