Accounting Clerk

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Ontario, CA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with 3 to 5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting support.

The Accounting Clerk will support daily financial operations by processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end activities. Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Review invoices, payment records, purchase orders, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with account reconciliations, data entry, filing, and maintenance of accounting records.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
- Support month-end close activities, reporting, and general accounting department needs.
- Maintain organized financial documentation in accordance with company procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $23 to $25 per hour.

- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and transaction processing.
- Ability to review invoices, statements, and account records for discrepancies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, accounting systems, and general office software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Professional communication skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal departments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in accounting and auditing services or a professional services environment.
- Prior temp-to-hire or fast-paced office accounting experience.
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting software systems.
- Ability to adapt quickly, learn internal processes, and contribute to a positive team environment.
