Senior Business Systems Analyst

10+ years of Business Analysis experience with at least 5+ years in Wealth Management and Trading environments. We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with extensive Wealth Management and Trading domain expertise to drive business and technology initiatives across front-office, middle-office, and trade processing functions. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, traders, portfolio managers, operations teams, and technology teams to define requirements, analyze business processes, support strategic transformation initiatives, and deliver technology solutions that enhance trading and wealth management operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Wealth Management, Portfolio Management, Trading, Operations, and Technology stakeholders to understand business objectives and define solutions.
• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and system requirements.
• Lead requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and solution walkthrough sessions.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and data mappings.
• Support initiatives involving: Equity Trading, Fixed Income Trading, FX Trading, Derivatives and Structured Products, Portfolio Management, Wealth Advisory Platforms, Trade Execution and Order Management Systems, Trade Lifecycle Processing.
• Analyze front-to-back trade workflows and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
• Support regulatory and compliance initiatives impacting wealth and trading platforms.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, and production implementation activities.
• Conduct impact analysis for system enhancements and transformation programs.
• Assist in data analysis, reconciliation, and migration activities related to trading and wealth platforms.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a Business Systems Analyst in large enterprise environments.
• Expertise in requirements elicitation, gap analysis, process mapping, and business process reengineering.
• Experience creating: BRD, FRD, Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Flows, Data Mapping Documents, Test Scenarios.

Wealth Management Domain

• Strong understanding of: Wealth Management Operations, Portfolio Management, Investment Advisory, Client Onboarding, Risk Profiling, Investment Suitability, Performance Reporting, Asset Servicing.

Trading Domain

• Deep understanding of: Trade Lifecycle, Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), Trade Execution, Trade Allocation, Trade Settlement, Trade Reconciliation, Market Data, Trading Risk and Controls.

Technology & Tools

• Experience with Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and interface specifications.
• Experience working with Jira, Confluence, Visio, and Agile tooling.
• Understanding of cloud-based and modern digital platforms is desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience with major North American banks, wealth management firms, investment managers, or broker-dealers.
• Experience with platforms such as Charles River, Avaloq, Client, Temenos, Aladdin, Bloomberg, or similar trading/wealth platforms.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting Wealth and Capital Markets operations.
• Exposure to digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
