Associate Lawyer

Troutman Amin LLP provides compliance guidance on a broad range of federal and state laws and is able to support litigation matters nationwide through pro hac vice admissions. The firm operates multiple offices, with plans for continued growth, and maintains a client-focused culture that values both in-person collaboration and responsive service. Role Description The Associate Lawyer will support complex litigation and privacy matters, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs in federal court, and assisting with discovery, legal research, and case strategy. The role involves advising on privacy, telecom, and regulatory compliance issues, preparing legal memoranda, and contributing to risk assessments and client counseling. The Associate will collaborate closely with partners and team members, participate in client meetings, and help manage case timelines and deliverables. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Irvine, CA, requiring consistent presence in the office and participation in in-person collaboration. Qualifications Strong legal research and writing skills, including experience drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda. Knowledge of complex litigation practice, including federal court procedures, discovery, and case management. Familiarity with privacy, data protection, and telecom laws, or a demonstrated interest in these subject areas. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical‑thinking abilities in high‑stakes, fast‑paced matters. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar; California bar admission preferred or willingness to obtain. Prior experience in litigation at a law firm, court, or government agency is highly beneficial.
