Shift Differential (2nd & 3rd Shift)External Candidate ~$1,500.00 sign-on bonusDemonstrate proficiency in maintenance and mechanical activities to ensure equipment operates safely, effectively, and efficiently. Perform general, preventive, and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, modification, fabrication, welding, and overhauls of mechanical and electrical systems. Work with limited supervision, receiving guidance on complex or new assignments, and serve as a technical resource for less experienced employees.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance and repairs on production, processing, packaging, and utility equipment in accordance with all safety proceduresPerform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and performanceRead and interpret technical procedures, schematics, manuals, and work ordersSupport installation and startup of new equipmentAssist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtimeComplete and document work orders accurately, timely, and in accordance with standard operating proceduresUse appropriate hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment safelyCommunicate with operations, maintenance, and management regarding equipment issues affecting productionMaintain compliance with all company policies, GMPs, food safety, quality, sanitation, and applicable regulatory requirementsMaintain a safe work environment in compliance with state and federal health and safety regulationsSupport continuous improvement efforts and stay current with new equipment and technologiesAnticipate parts needs, follow purchasing procedures, and obtain materials as requiredThe statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, or skills required. Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTrade or technical school training preferred (electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.)2–4 years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, HVAC), preferably in manufacturingExperience with industrial equipment including material handling, motor/relay/process controls, lubrication, cleaning, and packaging systemsAmmonia refrigeration experience preferredMulti-Craft mechanical experience preferredRequired certifications and/or licenses must be obtained as a condition of employmentKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret charts, drawings, specifications, schedules, and wiring diagramsAbility to inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment to prevent failures and downtimeAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipmentAbility to work independently and assist with complex repairs and projectsAbility to plan and complete minor to mid-sized projectsAbility to identify process improvements and adapt to changeAbility to work with minimal supervision and in a team environmentAbility to communicate effectively in writing and verballyAbility to perform basic math (whole numbers, fractions, decimals)Basic computer skillsAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishAn Equal Opportunity Employer
