Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT, you will play a vital role in our clinical team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual and couples therapy sessions, both separately and together, to promote healthy communication and resolving conflicts.

• Establishing treatment plans that are tailored to the specific needs of each family member.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a range of issues including grief and loss, alcohol and substance abuse, domestic violence, and adjustment issues relating to separation and divorce.

• Facilitating family therapy sessions to improve relationships among family members and support blended families in navigating remarriage and adjustments.
\n
• Documenting client progress and treatment plans in a secure electronic health record system to ensure continuity of care.

• Participating in weekly case consultations and team meetings to collaboratively improve therapeutic techniques and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work closely with a diverse client base, including adults, adolescents, and families seeking support in managing various life challenges. Specific focus areas will range from communication difficulties within relationships to issues surrounding separation, grief, and trauma. Your work will intersect with significant life transitions, assisting clients in developing coping strategies that lead to better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active LMFT license from the state of Virginia.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
