Registered Nurse/Cath Lab

Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 4x10s or 3x12s

• 4x10 schedule may include staggered shifts from 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Requirements:

• Active New York State RN License/Registration
• Current BLS Certification
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care RN experience within the past 2 years
• Cath Lab experience required
• Experience in hospitals of similar or greater size and acuity preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures
• Assist with patient preparation, procedural support, and post-procedure recovery
• Perform patient assessments and monitor hemodynamic status throughout procedures
• Administer and monitor moderate sedation as appropriate
• Function in circulating and procedural support roles within the Cath Lab
• Collaborate with cardiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately within the electronic medical record
• Deliver high-quality patient care with minimal orientation and supervision

Assignment Details:

• On-call required approximately 9–10 days per month
• On-call rotation includes one Friday and one weekend per month
• Holiday call coverage may be required depending on contract dates
• Assist with prep and recovery areas as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Cath Lab experience
• Comfortable with both sedation and circulating responsibilities
• EPIC EMR proficiency
• Previous experience in trauma centers or large acute care facilities
