This opportunity seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care in a 99-bed hospital facility. The role involves key responsibilities such as order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, and managing pharmacokinetics to ensure patient safety and optimal medication use.

Location: Rio Rancho, NM
Type: Travel Assignment (13 weeks; potential temp-to-hire)

Schedule:

• Day shifts, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
• One weekend per month, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• On-call responsibilities required
• Holiday coverage required

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and process medication orders accurately and promptly
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations
• Monitor pharmacokinetic parameters and adjust therapies as necessary
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active New Mexico Pharmacy License is required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained prior to starting
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
